What Help Me in Class Understand Fractions
I understood fractions easier by Mrs.Truelove going over it mechanically. I didn't understand the fractions bars that well. The fractions bars helped me with the simple fractions but not the complex ones. The extra worksheets that gave me extra practice helped also.

I was afraid of doing the fractions when we first went over them because I had trouble with them before. However, after the worksheets and getting into the problems, I ended up having a joy doing them.
I agree that the fraction bars helped tremendously because now I have a clearer understanding of fractions and now it’s not just procedures to remember. Now I actually realize why fractions are worked the way they are and I owe that too Fraction Bars which helped me gain a better understanding of how to break them down.
When I was first learning about fractions, my past teachers did not do a well enough job of explaining the techniques of fractions. Since my teachers did not have an effective stratergy to teaching fractions, I quickly developed a hatred toasted them. I relied completely on my calculator and wanted to ignore all fractions in life. With the one week we spent discussing fractions, I already have a better understanding of fractions and I feel more comfortable with dealing with them.
